Custom Product and Design Proof Policy
How previews, production proofs, revisions and approval work for made-to-order signs.
Every made-to-order sign is produced from a customer-approved specification. This policy explains the design, proof and approval process.
2.1 Information required
Depending on the product, we may ask for wording, letter case, line breaks, font, colour, width, height, backboard style and colour, indoor or outdoor use, mounting method, controller, plug, cable position, logo or artwork files, delivery destination and required date.
2.2 Preview versus production proof
The live builder preview is an estimate generated from the selected settings. It is not the final manufacturing drawing. We provide or approve a production proof before manufacturing begins. Complex logos, unusual characters, outdoor signs and Infinity Mirror signs may require manual review and a revised quotation.
2.3 Customer review responsibilities
Before approval, check the exact spelling, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, accents, Arabic or Japanese characters, line breaks, dimensions, colour names, backboard, mounting points, cable location and accessories. Ask questions before approving anything that is unclear.
Approval confirms that the proof accurately records the requested design. Approval does not excuse a manufacturing error, a material deviation from the approved proof, a latent defect or any failure covered by mandatory consumer law.
2.4 Revisions
Reasonable proof revisions are included as stated on the product page or quote. Major redesigns, repeated changes after approval, or a new concept may require an additional fee. Any fee must be disclosed and accepted before the work is performed.
2.5 Approval and production
Production begins only after the required proof has been approved and payment conditions have been satisfied. Once production begins, the item cannot normally be changed or cancelled for change-of-mind reasons because it is being manufactured to the customer’s specifications.
2.6 Manufacturing tolerances
Custom fabrication may result in small, non-material variations in overall dimensions, acrylic edge position, cable placement or the apparent intensity of colour. Any tolerance must be reasonable and must not prevent the product from matching its approved description, purpose or design.
